Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dashi stock
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1/2 cup cooked protein (such as shrimp, pork, or chicken)
  • 1/4 cup tenkasu (tempura scraps)
  • Okonomiyaki sauce
  • Japanese mayonnaise
  • Bonito flakes
  • Seaweed flakes
  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, dashi stock, and eggs to make the batter.
  2. Add the shredded cabbage, green onions, cooked protein, and tenkasu to the batter and mix until well combined.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan to form a pancake.
  4. Cook for a few minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
  5. Once both sides are cooked and the pancake is golden brown and crispy, transfer it to a plate.
  6. Drizzle okonomiyaki sauce and Japanese mayonnaise over the pancake.
  7. Sprinkle with bonito flakes and seaweed flakes.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!
