Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup dashi stock
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 1/2 cup cooked protein (such as shrimp, pork, or chicken)
- 1/4 cup tenkasu (tempura scraps)
- Okonomiyaki sauce
- Japanese mayonnaise
- Bonito flakes
- Seaweed flakes
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, dashi stock, and eggs to make the batter.
- Add the shredded cabbage, green onions, cooked protein, and tenkasu to the batter and mix until well combined.
- Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and pour a ladleful of the batter onto the pan to form a pancake.
- Cook for a few minutes until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side.
- Once both sides are cooked and the pancake is golden brown and crispy, transfer it to a plate.
- Drizzle okonomiyaki sauce and Japanese mayonnaise over the pancake.
- Sprinkle with bonito flakes and seaweed flakes.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
