Margherita Pizza

Enjoy the classic simplicity of a Margherita pizza with its minimal yet flavorful toppings of tomato, basil, and mozzarella.
Ingredients
- 1 pre-made pizza dough
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 2 ripe tomatoes, thinly sliced
- A handful of fresh basil leaves
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Place the rolled-out dough on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Drizzle olive oil over the dough and spread minced garlic evenly.
- Spread the tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- Arrange the sliced tomatoes on top of the sauce.
- Add the sliced mozzarella on top of the tomatoes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves.
